On the Peterhead Beach

    Description:

A late night operation involving 5 people, 2 dingies, a lot of anchor warp and a little bit of shouting...Meniscus went up the beach. Late to bed to make sure she settled and up early to start work. It's amazing how slowly the tide goes out and how quick it comes in when you're wanting to dry out! The original split pin had sheared and was still in the hole. Nut, key and pin arrived at 09:20, but the hole in shaft doesn't line up, a quick drill, but now split pin too short...and the tide is back in. We'll need to dry out again on the next tide.
